BLANK BIRTH CHART |
This is what a blank BIRTH CHART looks like.
A represents our planet Earth. Some chart copies display the ASPECTS of the planets as lines and symbols in this circle. Other chart copies display the aspects in a graph to the side of the circle.
B represents the circle of SKY around the Earth at the time and place of your birth. This circle includes the planetary positions in the sky at that time. The sky around you is divided into 12 areas of 30 degrees each. Each area or HOUSE represents an area of activity in your life.
C This circle shows the Sign and its degree, at the beginning/cusp of each House. The Signs' symbol is between the two numbers at the House beginning. The bold one, representing the degree (from 1-30) of the Sign and the smaller lighter one shows how many minutes you are into that degree (from 1-60). 1 degree per hour. All charts begin at the 9 o'clock position on the circle and are read counterclockwise. Each one of the 30 degrees of each Sign represents one day of each Astrological Month. |

THE QUADRANTS |
The first step is to divide the circle into 4 sections (A, B, C, and D).
Quadrant A - Top Half shows where you are learning about yourself through interaction with others. The Signs and the Planets on the top half represent qualities that are more visible to others.
Quandrant B - Bottom Half The bottom of the chart represents deciding for yourself who you are. The Signs and Planets on the bottom represent qualities that are more hidden.
Quadrant C - Left Half represents your self motivation, where you work well alone and have your own ideas.
Quadrant D - Right Half represents cooperative interaction. Interested in others. |

THE HOUSES |
There are 12 HOUSES or areas of activity in each chart.
House Beginnings are also known as House Cusps (1-12).
In Western astrology, charts are all read counter-clockwise and from our perspective the heavens seem to rotate counter-clockwise as well.
